The Book

Mouse and Mole are two best friends who enjoy living life together.

The book is composed of three charming tales that are perfect for grades 2 and 3. There is quite a lot of text on each page which I'm sure that age group can handle no problem.

The illustrations are vintage style and reminiscent of those found in Beatrix Potter books which I love. They are full of amazing detail, have a warm inviting colour pallet and lots of humour. Kids will love each new antic that Mole creates: like picking the first Spring daffodil or mismanaging the trimmig of his lopsided whiskers. Oh my... whatever has he done? Thank goodness his friend Mouse is always there to support and encourage him as things never go as planned.

The themes running throughout the book are: friendship, imagination, and fun surprises. This would be a delightful bedtime...or anytime story and a great addition to a classroom and school library. I highly recommend it.

Joyce Dunbar is the author of more than 80 children's books, including the bestseller Tell Me Something Happy Before I Go to Sleep. She has been praised for her humorous, charming, and quirky writing. Joyce's Mouse and Mole series was adapted for an animated TV series, and later, a TV Christmas special. Her books have been translated into 20 different languages. Joyce lives in Norwich, England.

He has been writing and illustrating for over 30 years.
