Be a responsible parent today

Find a book to read before bedtime tonight with your child. Sign them up for a library class. Get them a library card that is all their own. Call up their teacher, congratulate them on doing such a good job and ask them if there is anything you can do to help your child at home. Start preparing now to find good books for stocking stuffers and gifts for Christmas. Send your child a card or letter in the mail....remember the good old fashioned letters that we used to get delivered to our door? Research some good magazines for kids that you can subscribe to for Christmas. Just think how excited your child will be to receive a great monthly magazine with their name on it. Plan trips to Chapters/Indigo/Coles/ Independent children book store and actually let them purchase a book of their choice. Visit the book section in dollar stores....sometimes there are great books there. Reading is a life style. Read your world.
