I watched the Oscars last night and decided it was time for them to overhaul, re-design or think out-of-the box on how to present them to their audience. I don't know about you but I found them quite boring and the jokes not funny. After 83 years of producing this magnificent night of the stars, they need a facelift. Maybe it is just me but I vote for a change. Maybe this is a good time for all of us to start reading the history of the Oscars and start praying that there is a breakthrough that will end in a change. Something so precious and old (a treasure really) needs to be re-invented, made into a brand new creation.
I love all the components, it's just the delivery that is old and stale. It is fun at this time to read the biographies of the directors, artists and actors that make up this grand evening. You can even do a study on the Kodak Theatre where this grand event is showcased and the a study of the surrounding buildings in the area.
Hollywood has such glamour and appeal to the whole world. Read about previous Oscar winners or even the history of how the Oscar came to be the most coveted statue to win. If you are a movie-buff then try finding and reading books about this fantastic industry. You can even find child-star bios, like Judy Garland (Wizard of Oz), Shirley Temple, or even Lassie to share with your kids. Everyone loves a good movie, both young and old. You don't even have to try and sell the concept that movies are wonderful..that is just a given fact. Find your star and read articles, magazines, books to enhance your knowledge. Read on.
