Make a spectacle of yourself
Want to have some read aloud fun? Go to the dollar store and buy a couple of pairs of reading glasses from the rack. When you have book sharing time and each person takes a page/paragraph/sentence to read aloud to each other they must put on the spectacles to read it aloud. This is a fun game and can be done around a table, in a circle formation or before bedtime. Buy an extra few pairs and include dad and grandma/grandpa in the mix. Keep these glasses for special family reading times. It is so fun and your kids will adore it. Making a spectacle of yourself can lead to better reading. Read on.
