Let's get it right....
Kids are an important part of Christmas. Not only is it about giving them gifts but, more importantly, it's about teaching them to share, be kind to one another, be compassionate to the ones who have less and it's about teaching them your culture and traditions.
It is also about having fun and being part of a great celebration. For the those of the Christian faith it is about celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Santa Claus is indeed part of it, but for the Christian, the true meaning is hosting a huge birthday party for Jesus. This season is a time for excitement, laughter and focusing on the importance of family.
Here are some quotes to remind you why we put so much emphasis on this special time of year.
Dr. Seuss: "Maybe Christmas the Grinch thought, doesn't come from a store."
Anonymous: "What do you call people who are afraid of Santa Claus?" Claustrophobic.
Bryan White: "Christmas makes me happy no matter what time of the year it comes around."
Don Meredith:" If "its" and "buts" were candy and nuts, wouldn't it be a Merry Christmas?"
(had to be careful I didn't stick another "t" in "butts"..ha ha)
Read on into this great adventure of Christmas!
