My take on the book:
If you've ever been around a toddler then you will totally understand the concept of this book. You seem to spend most of your day intervening with interventions of proper behaviour etiquette fit for the human species. Your YES means yes and your NO definitely means no!! To those little working brains all seems fair game and if the idea to grab (the cat's tail), eat dog food with your pup, float your toys in the toilet, run away from dad in the parking lot, or paint on the walls....whatever.... sparks your imagination or curiosity is then that is exactly what should be done.
The babies facial expressions say it all and are captured perfectly. It is an hilarious book that both young and old will get a kick out of sharing together. The simple repetition of the words will have your baby repeating them out loud and the fun, comical pictures will have them identifying with the naughty antics of the baby. This is a wonderful book that can be used as a tool to teach your child the do's and don't of acceptable and unacceptable behaviour at a very early age. This book will give you the opportunity to discuss with your child the expectations of the rules and boundaries that you have set up in your own home. I highly recommend this book. It would be an fun shower gift to give to a new, expectant mother so she can prepare herself and get her No No's and Yes Yes's ready to launch.
