Three amazing little books to check out for you

Happy Saturday morning to you all.  Love you're here spending it with me on Storywraps.  You are welcome as always so let's push off with the answer to yesterday's question.  I asked if you knew the movie that grossed the most money based on a children's book.  Well the answer is based on the book....you probably guessed it already...Harry Potter.  The entire series morphed into a film extravaganza grossing...wait for it? ..... $7.7 billion in worldwide receipts. Wow! Amazing.  As the books got more and more popular the quality of the movies became richer and richer because they had the money to spend to re-invest and up-grade.  If you haven't read a Harry Potter book or seen one of the movies you really should.  That series caused a world-wide phenomenon in the reading circles of kids. Kids who had never wanted to pick up a book or were reluctant readers changed their minds when Harry Potter arrived on the scene. These are books well worth reading.

Today's featured books:

*What Every Child Needs To Know About Elvis:  authors - Brad, Robert and Marc

* What Every Child Needs To Know About Coffee - authors Brad and Marc

* What Every Child Needs To Know About Cancer - authors Brad and Dr. Marc

Backstory on books:

Need To Know Publishing was founded by three dads who wanted a different kind of book series for their own young daughters.  The series was created to address important, 21st century topics with honesty, integrity, simplicity, and when appropriate, humour.  After searching for that kind of book they found none, so they took it upon themselves to jump in and do it themselves.  They set about to create books to introduce young kids to a favourite artist, to start a conversation about a difficult topic, or just explain why adults are the way we are.   The first three books in the series are featured above and I have chosen one to highlight today for you.  Because it's Saturday and early here my morning I chose "What Every Child Needs To Know About Coffee"...... sounds perfect to me, and yes I am sipping as I am blogging. Want to join me?  Want a cup?  :)

Take a peek inside "What Every Child Needs To Know About Coffee:

What Every Child Needs To Know About Coffee:

This book is presented in the form of a board book.  (They all are in the series which is a very good thing).  The fact that grownups love and need coffee in their lives is a known fact worldwide.  It is the most consumed beverage on the planet and many adults schedule their lives around it ... hence the phrase... "I need a coffee break".  This amazing little book explains in simple terms the history of coffee, the places of its origin, how it is cultivated and the process of getting it into the mouths of millions who are salivating waiting for that first sip for their day.  The photos are perfect, the message is educational and it is written by a child expert and a healthcare analyst.  What could be better than that?  I am very, very impressed with the books and hope these are the beginning of many, many more to come.  I highly recommend them.  They are perfect for gift-giving.

This Child Needs To Know About "The Beatles." Up for that gentlemen?

Up-coming books for the fall in this series:

About the guys who are behind all these small wonders:

Teaching a young child about the ducklings, chicks, and calves that all live together in the barn is fine, especially if you happen to be rearing that child with his seven siblings on a farm…in 1930. However, our children are being raised in the 21st Century in a world filled with pop stars, turmoil, and grande mocha lattes. This is why we three dads – Brad, Marc and Robert – founded Need To Know Publishing and created the What Every Child Needs To Know series of board books for young readers and pre-readers: to explain adult society to young children. Using honesty, integrity, simplicity, and, when appropriate, humor, theWhat Every Child Needs To Know series tackles the issues and icons that color day-to-day life. These books are the perfect way to introduce young children to a favorite artist, to start a conversation about a difficult topic, or just to explain why we adults are the way we are.
