The inside scoop...

These books are for kids who want to have fun learning to play the piano or the drums and for parents who want to watch their children actively enjoying making music.

The most successful music teachers show their students how "easy" rather than how "difficult" it is to do just that.  These books feature:

*super clear instructions
*fantasic hit songs (kids are familiar with)
*accompaniment tracks that kids can play along with

Each book features information that is uncluttered, attractively spaced, easy-to-read layout, every picture, musical text, or instruction contains just the right amount of information to help kids be success at their musical endeavours.

The best part?  The book is full of popular songs that have been chosen especially for their kid-friendly appeal.

Piano for Kids, by Jennifer Linn, Manager of Educational Piano at Hal Leonard, sets a new standard for clarity and simplicity resulting in a step-by-step approach to quickly synchronize two hands with a clear mental image of each musical goal.  The fun songs chosen feature engaging accompaniment tracks that can be downloaded or streamed, with Hal Leonard's exclusive PLAYBACK+multi-functional audio player. The method used recognizes that many students will not be using a traditional piano and is designed for use with almost any keyboard or acoustic piano.

Drums for Kids by Scott Schroedl is ground-breaking as it carefully sequences lessons for drummers of such a young age.  The content and pedagogy are truly unique.  The songs are recognizable and exciting to play.  This really helps to keep kids motivated while they learn.
