The Book

I love this book.  Kids will laugh-out-loud as they are introduced to an uninvited, friendly cock roach that invites himself to a birthday party.

A birthday bash is happening and a curious cock roach enters into the house and right into the celebration.  He just blends into the games   and frivolity and ends up in the middle of the birthday cake. He decides to take a nap after stuffing himself full with the delicious cake.  It's at that point he is discovered by the humans and chaos ensues.  Screaming and scurrying away from the horrid creature alerts dad who crashes in wielding the household vacuum cleaner as his chosen weapon of destruction.

The horrid cockroach gets sucked up and hopefully that will be the end of him.  Gone!  But will the clever bug find a way to return to the best birthday party ever?  The illustrations are amazing. They visually bring the text to life.  The back cover sums it up perfectly... (spoiler alert!)... "It's party time!"  This book would be a perfect birthday gift, or anytime gift to give.  I highly, highly recommend it!  Well done!
